Our office received some interesting material this morning. Coming from a professional truck spotter, who wanted to remain anonymous, we received some very exciting photos of a never-before-seen truck.
As photographed, the vehicle was covered in a special camouflage wrap typically used by manufacturers to obscure a vehicle's shapes, lines and unique elements, to make it hard to discern exactly how a new vehicle model will look like before its official reveal.
For now, further details are still unknown to us, but one thing is clear, there will be a new truck for any trucker or fan of Euro Truck Simulator 2 to look forward to.

We know what you’re thinking. You’ve already seen the nature of Wyoming on our blog previously. The problem, or perhaps an advantage, is that our lovely map designers supplied us with many more beautiful scenes taken from the upcoming Wyoming DLC and it would’ve been criminal not to share these additional screenshots with the #BestCommunityEver. So buckle up and enjoy the ride!
Whether it is Boysen State Park with its interesting geological formations, Bridger-Teton National Forest and the already mentioned famous four W’s, Bighorn National Forest and its diverse landscape, or perhaps Targhee National Forest, which boasts with many natural marvels - there will certainly be no shortage of eye-pleasing distractions along the road.
The natural wonders of Wyoming are full of historically important locations, jaw-dropping scenery, and diverse wildlife. This description, however, truly pales in comparison to seeing it with your own eyes.
Since Wyoming’s industry is tied to mining and agriculture, the real magic of the local environment is how technological progress does not devalue beauty, instead, it fits right into what we admire in the first place.
All this and more is coming in the upcoming Wyoming DLC! Once you bounce back after being blown away by the natural spectacle you have witnessed, don’t forget to support us by adding the Wyoming update to your Steam Wishlist. Thank you and we’ll see you on the road!

Today, we want to share with you a few pictures from a new road segment that will be added to Euro Truck Simulator 2's Iberia DLC with the upcoming 1.41 update.
Autoestrada A24 runs north to south across the Douro river valley, connecting A7 and A25. It passes through a very scenic region of Portugal, famous for its many vineyards. Originally, this road was considered for release with Iberia DLC, but we did not manage to complete it in time. We decided to finish A24 anyway and bring it to you in an update, as we did not want to leave this beautiful part of Portugal behind!
We hope that you have as much fun pulling cargoes across Iberia as we had making it!

Recently, we shared the first development update on giving our starting state in American Truck Simulator a reskin. Today we are excited to share with you another update regarding the major road layout rework. What changes can drivers expect to see? Let's take a closer look, shall we?
Our world design tools have been considerably improved during the years since ATS was released, and we plan to take advantage of the new power. For example, our map designers can now pay attention to details like the proper roll of the road surface in a curve. We are also trying to make sure we get our research right when it comes to unique road signage elements, proper road markings, or the use of cat's eyes. We hope to achieve a completely new look and feel when driving across the State.Road junctions will also be receiving a rework from the ground up, as well as modifications to the general layout of CA roads. The team involved in this rework is striving to make it a seamless drive throughout the state. Cities will be also completely reconstructed and feature new depots and an upgraded economy. This also includes an update to regular truck stops and rest areas found throughout California!
The changes and improvements we plan are massive, however, please keep in mind that we are not redoing California from scratch. While many places will be overhauled completely, there are sceneries that we feel have withstood the test of time really well, or may only need a thin layer of additional polish. At any rate, we're striving to provide a cohesive experience well in line with our current world creation best practices.
We can't wait to share with you more development updates from California and more! Keep an eye here on our official blog and social media channels for more content in the future. Happy trucking! -

When it comes to natural beauty, Wyoming boasts an impressive number of firsts, including America's first national monument, the nation's first national forest, and the world's first national park. With an abundance of breathtaking landscapes, it's no wonder that one of the state's top contributors to the economy is tourism! In American Truck Simulator, you'll get to experience all of this and more in our upcoming Wyoming DLC.
One such location is the Bridger-Teton National Forest, best known for the four W's - Wildlife, Waterfalls, Wilderness, and Wild and Scenic Rivers. Located in the west of Wyoming, it is the largest intact ecosystem in the lower 48 United States and a must-visit location for any traveler.
No matter where you are headed, Wyoming offers natural beauty at every corner, so make sure you have your camera on hand for that picture-perfect shot with your truck!
We look forward to sharing more development news about Wyoming in the future; and the beautiful landscapes and new road networks that will arrive with it. Until then, however, be sure to check out the official Wyoming Steam store page with early-development screenshots, and if you wish to support us, be sure to add Wyoming to your Steam Wishlist!

A year after the onset of the global pandemic, some regions seem to be out of the worst, but there are countries currently going through the world's worst COVID-19 outbreaks to date. When we were approached by our friends at Humble Bundle to be a part of a new bundle from which 100% of proceeds go to charities helping in the fight against coronavirus, we didn't hesitate.
Humble selected these four charities to be part of the bundle. These charities have focused efforts in India and Brazil, and are keeping a watchful eye on neighboring countries and hot spots should COVID support be needed in other countries.
Direct Relief improves the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergency situations by mobilizing and providing essential medical resources needed for their care. They’re currently providing local hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout India with PPE, oxygen concentrators, and other resources, and also supporting local vaccination efforts to vulnerable people in Brazil.
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. MSF is running COVID-19 response programs in India and Brazil. In Mumbai, MSF teams are treating patients in a 2,000 bed facility set up by the Indian government, in addition to ensuring that people living with illnesses like tuberculosis continue to receive care. In Brazil, MSF is supporting fragile local health systems in Amazonas and Roraima states.
International Medical Corps provides lifesaving healthcare and supplies to children, families and communities that have lost everything due to conflict, disaster and disease. International Medical Corps is seeking funds to help work with local partners in India to provide essential supplies like oxygen concentrators, ventilators, patient beds and personal protective equipment, and to distribute COVID-19 prevention and vaccine messaging to health facilities and communities.
GiveIndia aims to channel and provide resources to verified non-governmental organizations and projects across India, supporting COVID efforts, among others. As India grapples with a severe second wave, GiveIndia is supporting those in need with medical equipment and supplies, physical infrastructure, vaccination and testing, and humanitarian aid.For $20 or your local equivalent (or more if you feel extra generous!), you'll get not only Euro Truck Simulator 2, but also other wonderful games like:
- Brütal Legend - You can expect Jack Black, Ozzy Osbourne, and of course metal in this hack'n'slash game.
- SUPERHOT - The most innovative shooter we've played in years!
- Baba is You - Game is awesome. Bundle is best. Floor is lava. COVID be gone.
- This War of Mine - Thrilling game where you need to make many life-and-death decisions.
- Stick Fight: The Game - Throwback to the good old times with stick fight Flash games.
- Saints Row: The Third - Stillwater needs you and you need to go through this goofy story.
- UNDERTALE - *Megalovania starts playing*
- BioShock™ Remastered - Explore the beautiful underwater world of Rapture.
- Bury Me, My Love - Very touching text messaging adventure game about a Syrian migrant trying to find her way to Europe.
- ... and more games, books, and software.
This is the perfect moment to grab an extra key of ETS2 for your friends as we're getting to the finish line for the open beta of Convoy multiplayer for ETS2 and ATS, get some new games for yourself (tell us your favorite in comments and on our social media!), and help the world in the fight against COVID-19.
The Humble Heal: Covid-19 Bundle runs until May 19 at 18:00 UTC.

During our special Christmas 2020 live stream, we announced that we would be revisiting California in American Truck Simulator to give our starting state a reskin! Today we are excited to share with you a development update on the progress of this project and what changes you can expect to see! Let's take a closer look, shall we?
Thanks to the growth of our map teams here at SCS Software, we now have the capacity to take on this huge task at hand, while also working on future map projects. So what exactly is in store for California?
- All cities will undergo a redesign and adjustments to reflect our current quality standards
- A large number of new assets reflecting California's specific signs, architecture, road systems, tourist attractions, industrial depots, and more!
- New Agriculture Control Stations which will be located at the borders of the state
- Major road layout rework
The reskin will come as a free update for all owners of the American Truck Simulator and will be released in smaller phases over the course of upcoming game updates. While at this time we don't have an estimated date of when the reskin project will be complete, know that our team will be working hard to bring details and extras we missed the first time around.
Let's focus on one of the more noticeable changes drivers will experience when arriving in California, the new agriculture border control stations! These special stations are the first line of defense in pest exclusion efforts. All drivers hauling goods into the state will have to undergo special checks from the control station where vehicles are inspected for commodities that may be infested with invasive species, and for the correct documentation.In-game, we will mimic these scenarios with a new feature, which will work very similar to the current weigh stations. Upon your arrival at the border, depending on what you are hauling, drivers will be notified to pull over for an inspection at one of the control stations before they are given the green light to enter the state.
We can't wait to share with you more development updates from California and more! Keep an eye here on our official blog and social media channels for more content in the future. Happy trucking! -

We know how much our players love to take photos! From rest stops to landmarks, our social media channels receive hundreds of photos each week of drivers on their virtual travels in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator! That is why we are happy to share with you a peek at one of our upcoming features in development for the in-game photo mode in 1.41.
We understand that lots of you take your time to get the perfect shot, and for many, this also includes finding the right lighting conditions and weather. So to help create that perfect trucking memory, we have implemented a new feature that may save you quite a bit of time when it comes to using console commands!
Introducing the new Time and Weather options! Players will now be able to choose the conditions of their liking, to create the perfect trucking snap just by simply adjusting a new slider to change the time, or clicking on two buttons to control the lighting/weather, all of which will appear in the updated in-game photo studio. We can't wait to see how drivers will use this new feature in the future and we look forward to seeing your snaps!
Be sure to let us know in the comments your thoughts on this new feature. We look forward to sharing more upcoming 1.41 development news with you in the future!

Dear players,
Today we are celebrating seven years of TruckersMP! A multiplayer modification surrounded by an awesome community. Every tireless night of development has been worth it, and we are still going strong today.
In May of 2020, we turned six years old and it was only right that we celebrated with a festival! The six hour festival was supported by our partner TruckersFM and we had a massive party. In June, we supported the Grimes Summer Mod which gave the community a summer experience on our servers! July brought us the very first Patreon Convoy which gave those who support us a chance to drive together and have some fun on the way.
August then came around and we gave the community a chance to ask the Upper Staff some questions in the Summer Q&A. Everyone took great advantage of this and it allowed us to share some information on topics we hadn’t discussed before! Moving onto September we relaunched our Community Contributor program which was a huge success - it gave some of our online supporters recognition for their work and they continue to help us out every day. In October, we thought it was only right to celebrate with an Official Halloween Convoy and despite all the scary jump scares and twists and turns, it was a lot of fun for everyone involved. Also in October TruckersFM celebrated their fifth year anniversary with a big party!
November was an exciting time for us, we opened and recruited for the Stream Team. This team was created to help improve interaction with the community on our streaming platforms and so far it has been a huge success, helping to stream all of our official events! In the last month of 2020, the wintery month of December, a wonderful time of year to give back. Last December we supported the RSPCA and the community helped to raise a huge £1,537 to support animals in need.
In January we held our second Patreon convoy and we decided to head through the new DLC Colorado, we had fun and it was nice to bring everyone together. Then, something insane happened, we hit 4 million users in February. This was our fourth major milestone and we were so proud of this achievement - we look forward to continuing to grow with you all! In March we introduced a new feature, Alternating Vehicles and with the ability to vote, users can now come together and decide what vehicle they wish to drive for two weeks. Also in March we introduced a brand new event, the TruckersMP Tournament which put users to the test as they competed to be the winner of the competition through a series of different challenges. In April we moved Twitch channels and as a first stream we decided to give users the opportunity to work together to drive a truck in the Twitch Plays ETS2 stream. This brings us to now, May 2021 and we are just about to celebrate our seventh birthday here at TruckersMP. We can’t wait to tell you all about it next year!
So, what is in store for 2021?
We are planning some great things this year and we hope that this year can only get better following 2020. We have plans to create exciting community engagement through events and we hope that you join us on that journey!
Thank you again for all your support and contributions last year, TruckersMP is an amazing place where everyone can come together in bad times and 2020 proved that. We appreciate every single one of you. Without you, TruckersMP would not be where it is today. We will continue to do our best to give back for all the support you have granted us over the past seven years.
The TruckersMP Team

The unique and innovative community design contest we've started with our friends over at Renault Trucks is reaching its final phase! After gathering all the creative and cool contest entries, we are now coming to you with an announcement of the 5 finalists, who'll try to steal your heart and your vote!
These 5 participants should already feel like a star, as their submitted designs have impressed the team of judges comprising of designers from Renault Trucks and a few consultants from SCS Software too! Plus, as was promised in some of the previous articles we've published during this campaign, these 5 creative members of our #BestCommunityEver have just won the amazing T150 steering wheel kindly provided by Thrustmaster, the exclusive sponsor of the contest!
If you see your name/design amongst these 5 finalists, then make sure to keep an eye on your email inbox, as we will get in touch with you very soon to get your shipping details for the delivery of your prize!

SabR
Junnky
Kriistof
Stefan
But here's where the race for everlasting fame begins! Because now, we will all decide together who the ultimate winner of the #RenaultTrucksEvolution community contest design will be; who'll become a real legend, whose design will not only be implemented into ETS2, but also recreated on a real truck as a monument to this close collaboration between the automotive and gaming industry!
Please visit this special landing page and cast your votes, to help us decide who the star of the show is, the chosen one, the person who designed the most impressive and unique design out of these 5 finalists. You can take some time to closely inspect and browse the designs. The community voting is now active and ends on the 2nd of May, 2021, at 23:59 CEST. Also, we highly suggest you read the full regulations here.
The winner, along with the winning design, will be revealed later this year in the summer at a very special event in Lyon, France. This is where the winning designer will be invited by Renault Trucks, to be the star of the night, to reveal the truck and to test-drive it as well!*
*The planned reward of an expenses-paid trip to the launch event in Lyon might be subject to change, as neither SCS Software nor Renault Trucks can guarantee that future COVID-19 travel and safety restrictions will allow such an event to take place.

The mining industry in the United States has a long history and continues to play a crucial role in the country's economy today. Despite being a top consumer of coal, the US is also among the top five exporters of it. Today, we will be taking a closer look at the U.S state of Wyoming and the industries in which players will be able to take job contracts in our upcoming DLC for American Truck Simulator.
Located in a mountainous region, Wyoming has been the USA's leading coal producer since 1986, providing around 40% of the country’s coal, with 42 billion tons of reserve recoverable coal, with an estimated 1.4 trillion tons that has yet to be mined. One such mine which will be featured in our upcoming Wyoming DLC is The Black Thunder thermal coal mine. Located in Campbell Country, this is one of the largest coal mines in the world. Despite the rising adoption of cleaner and renewable energy sources, the mine still continues to cater to large demand, producing an estimated 115 million tons of coal per year, and was the first coal mine in the world to transport one billion tons of coal!
Drivers in Wyoming will be able to help contribute to the service and upkeep of the mine dumpers that transport coal in the Mines, by delivering parts and goods to the maintenance garages located on their outskirts.
However, coal isn't the only large export from the state! Wyoming is also home to the world’s largest deposit of trona, supplying about 90% of the nation’s soda ash (or more commonly known as baking soda). It is used in a number of everyday products including paper, detergents, textiles, glass, and more!
Truckers in our Wyoming DLC will also be able to deliver to a nearly 1:1 landmark depot of a soda ash mine and help contribute to delivering the necessary materials and cargo needed for its day-to-day operations.
If you want to say 'Wyoming is mine', be sure to add Wyoming for American Truck Simulator to your Steam Wishlist. It really helps supports us in the development and release of our upcoming content. We thank you for your support.

Through rain and shine, there's been a driving force that has kept our team in top gear throughout our company's history of game development. From earlier game titles such as Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel to our well-known titles of today, we've been lucky to have YOU, our #BestCommunityEver as our co-driver every mile of our journey so far.
From modders to content creators to virtual trucking companies, we are lucky to have what we believe is THE best community a game studio could ask for. For us, you are so much more than just an average fan base! You are a never-ending fountain of ideas, suggestions, research, feedback, constructive criticism and so much more. We also see daily examples of drivers helping each other on various social media platforms which in turn creates a better driving experience for everyone. You have become our driving force throughout the years and because of you, we have recently reached some amazing milestones!
From 300,000 subscribers on our official YouTube channel, through nearly 180,000 followers on our Instagram profile, 120,000 followers on our Steam Developer Hub, more than 235,000 followers on the American Truck Simulator Facebook page, nearly 220,000 followers on our official and finally verified SCS Software Facebook Page, almost 110,000 followers on our Twitter profile, to the enormous 1 MILLION FOLLOWERS on our Euro Truck Simulator 2 Facebook page, we wanted to reward all our drivers with a special gift to recognize our trucking family.
We couldn't think of a better gift than one that you can proudly adorn whenever you are on the road! So we've created a special #BestCommunityEver Truck + Trailer paint job for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 & American Truck Simulator; this can be earned by taking part in our World of Trucks micro-event!
Rules:
Using External Contracts or External Market, with a World of Trucks-connected profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator, deliver 1 external contract cargo (any cargo) with a minimum of a 500km distance.
Players will be rewarded the #BestCommunityEver paint job in the game which they completed the delivery in (Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator)
Thank you for being our #BestCommunityEver! We really believe we have a wonderful family of ETS2 & ATS truckers and we appreciate all that you do to support us and the continued development of our trucking titles. We can't wait to spend many more miles on the road with you!
