Just over two weeks ago, version 1.41 for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator was released. Over these two weeks, our game developers have been working hard on porting our multiplayer client from version 1.40 to 1.41.
We are all very excited to announce that TruckersMP is now compatible with version 1.41!

What does this compatibility update include?
In anticipation of some popular questions, we have outlined what is included in our compatibility update, below:
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.41.1.5s (64-bit) compatibility.
- American Truck Simulator version 1.41.1.10s (64-bit) compatibility.
- ProMods Europe v2.56 support for 'ProMods' and 'ProMods Arcade' game servers.
- ProMods Canada v1.0.2 support for all American Truck Simulator game servers.
- World of Trucks 'Idaho Spuds' event support, including the associated cabin accessories rewards.
- Support for the latest version of New Summer Graphics/Weather modification (1.41 compatibility).
Outstanding Issues
- We are aware of a synchronisation issue affecting traffic lights across both games. This causes the green and red lights to flicker rapidly. It is advised to use extreme caution when approaching junctions, whilst respecting any road signage.

While our teams are busy working on multiple future map expansions for both ATS and ETS2, we are working so diligently we still managed to find some time to compose a small team that handles the task of bringing older regions of our game world closer to the current state-of-the-art quality as seen in new DLCs. With the recent release of the Convoy feature for ATS and ETS2, our social media channels have witnessed an avalanche of absolutely incredible photos and videos from your first multiplayer journeys, in which you and your friends were taking on the same jobs and delivering cargo together. It’s difficult to simply express with words how much we appreciate this kind of feedback, since in the end, whatever we do we are doing for the happiness of our #BestCommunityEver.
What you will see here is just a small selection of videos we have laid our eyes on and there is much more here and here. Feel free to keep sending us pictures and videos on our social media - Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and we’ll make sure to check them out as well!
In addition to screenshots and videos, quite often there are developers who are watching the ETS2 and ATS categories on Twitch, so the streamers certainly do not have to feel left out.
We also immensely value the amount of positive feedback we have received for the update in comment sections and on our forums. We know you have been waiting to drive together with your friends for a long time, so do not be afraid and start a Convoy session yourself or jump into an already created one and work together with your fellow truckers in this awesome new multiplayer experience!

Agriculture has been an integral part of every human society for thousands of years and it is truly exceptional how this practice of cultivating plants and livestock remains just as important to this very day. For Wyoming, modern farming is a key component in the overall economy of the state. Let’s take a closer look at the Cowboy State and examine why the previous statement is true and along the way show you multiple new screenshots from the upcoming map expansion as well!
In Wyoming, agriculture is one of the top three industries (along with minerals and tourism) and it contributes approximately $2 billion per year to the state’s economy. The local cattle industry dates back to the middle 1800's and in the following hundred years cattle ranching became one of the most noteworthy businesses with Cheyenne becoming a world trade center for cattle. It is due to the state’s vegetation in the grasslands and moutains that the livestock cultivation is able to thrive.
With more than eleven thousand farms producing commodities across the state and over thirty million acres of farmland, the importance of the industry is truly difficult to miss. Interestingly enough, land related to agriculture takes up about fifty-five percent of the total land in Wyoming, with wheat contributing the highest production value out of all other crops.

There are so many pieces in a trucker’s life that all fit together like a perfectly-built puzzle. From driving on the road to passing by various landmarks, there are certain aspects you simply cannot leave out. One of those elements are undoubtedly the weigh stations. Today we will take a look at some of these locations that will be featured in the upcoming Wyoming DLC.
While the function of weigh stations remains unchanged and they may even seem trivial to some, to others they have become well known and unique places. Echo Point of Entry may certainly be remembered for its rich history and unique design. Not only was this particular station constructed before the famous Interstate 80 was built, the support of commercial vehicles in this area dates back all the way to 1952. But the story with I-80 doesn’t end here, as you will also have a chance to stop by for an inspection at the Evanston I-80 Point of Entry!
There will be several more weigh stations situated throughout Wyoming, and while some of them may not draw their power from history or their architectural value, stopping at Alpine Point of Entry, for example, will leave you in awe purely due to the marvelous mountains nearby. On the contrary, Cheyenne I-25 Point of Entry will give you the opportunity to see far into the distance thanks to its surrounding prairies.

It feels like it has been forever since we last had our teams working in our offices located in Prague. However, last week we were happy to welcome back a large portion of our teams back with the exciting addition of a new office space for our Vehicle and QA teams!
While we are still keeping safety in mind with the necessary restrictions and rules in place to protect each other, we are all so happy to see each other in-person again; rather than over an online video call.During our time working from home, we continued to hire new talent into our teams as we further speed up and expand the development process of both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator.
This meant we had lots of new faces which we haven't yet had the chance to meet in person, plus, a lot of moving in to do when they arrived in the office for the first time. To celebrate this special moment we took the opportunity to open our new office space, which is located in the same building but on a different floor to our current main office space.
The new space will accommodate the Vehicle and QA teams for now, and hopefully many more in the future! And we made sure to make it feel as fresh and modern as the one upstairs! With a new small kitchen, pool table, trucking-inspired designs, and more. We believe it will make a great and comfortable place to work for all our colleagues.
And we are not done growing! We are always looking for new members to join our team here at SCS Software. From 3D artists to Programmers and more; why not take a moment to check out our open positions? Dear Truckers,
As you probably know, the official multiplayer (known as Convoy) is already here.
Convoy is a great multiplayer game, though it is completely different from TruckersMP. Both multiplayers have their pros and cons, but at least TruckersMP gives you an alternative.
For 7 years, TruckersMP most of the time was a part-time job (or more like hobby) for me. Usually done at night.
In 2018 I had the opportunity to work for TruckersMP full-time for 6 months. Progress then was significant, but back then we had revenue only from Google Adsense and we could not afford investing into server infrastructure or even working full-time for a longer time. That is why I decided to join CD PROJEKT RED in the beginning of 2019. Of course it was also a pleasure for me to work on Cyberpunk 2077!
As you may suspect, after this move I had much less time for TruckersMP. Again it started to be work done at night, I would say - hard crunch mode.
We started our Patreon campaign in October 2019 and it showed me very quickly that the community wants more from this project. But at that time Cyberpunk 2077 was not even released, not speaking about patches. I could not leave my team there, so I decided to stay until the game was released along with patches. And now the time has come. I am currently on notice period, and starting from August I will have a chance to work on TruckersMP full-time again! It was only possible because of your support via Patreon! But I am still an enthusiast who wants to make this game the best.
As you know, TruckersMP has its issues. We all know these issues:
- trolling
- missing gameplay features (e.g. economy)
- low quality
- a lot of bugs
- lack of VTC support in the game
- long waiting for support of new game version
- missing synchronization (e.g. weather, AI vehicles)
But TruckersMP also has a lot of potential, but we really use only a little part of this potential at this moment.
TruckersMP still is in its Open Alpha stage, version 0.2. We want more though. We would like to bring Open Beta 1.0.
It is not just a version name change in code though. We need to address the issues above and fix them. Do not expect one very big patch which we will be working on for 2 years. This does not make any sense and most likely we would fail. Instead expect many small patches which will eventually lead us to the game we will be proud to call Beta 1.0. Do not think this will come in just one month. For that we might need a year or two.
In the meantime we found a very talented person - ShawnCZek. For sure you know him from the features he brought so far to the game. But also Smoky turned out to be a very good game producer, as he makes sure we are heading in a good direction.
Within the game development team we are motivated like never before. Our heads are full of ideas, we just need time and your support! Do not hesitate to give us your feedback, what you like, what you don't like. We will be hearing suggestions more than ever before.
In the coming months we will focus the most on the technology aspect. We need to improve our tools for supporting the new game versions to make the whole process shorter and more efficient. We need to bring a new replication framework which will improve the quality of synchronization and will fix a few bugs related to it. This should also be easier to add new synchronized stuff to the game. In the future it should also make it possible to bring AI-driven vehicles to TruckersMP. Problem with trolling will be mitigated with the “Global Report System” - reports from the game will be centralized. It will be easier to review bans, moderation of the game will be shortened to handle capacity of our game servers. In the meantime we are planning to talk about bus-related matters with another instance in the community. More details about all of this soon! For now we are hard working on supporting the 1.41 game version, which should come closer to the end of month.
From the community perspective it is better to have two multiplayers. You can always play alternative mode. Looking at complexity and dose of luck I would say that it is very unlikely that similar modification will be created in the future. Such an opportunity might never come again.

We are celebrating the 1st anniversary since our Idaho DLC release, by highlighting its famous potato industry. So, we’re inviting our #BestCommunityEver to join us in hauling Idaho Spuds - our latest World of Trucks event! The community goal is to achieve 200,000 deliveries of either Potatoes or the The Big Idaho Potato; we’ve gone all out to faithfully reproduce this famous truck and trailer, used to advertise and praise Idaho potatoes throughout the state.
The goal here is simply to have fun #HaulingSpuds and maybe grab a few rewards on the way. We’re sure you’re gonna like what you find. And yes, you can even haul Potatoes cargo using your own trailer in the external market, The Big Idaho Potato, however, is in External contracts only.
Not only do we have the trailer but we've also added the genuine Kenworth T680 paint job to accompany The Big Idaho Potato cargo, available in the game, and we can’t wait to see your pics as you make your deliveries. Don't forget to tag our and The Big Idaho Potato social media profiles (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) too to let them know how much do you like hauling their pride around!
We're also giving 2 special rewards for completing your personal goal which will require 6 deliveries of Potatoes plus 1 more delivery of The Big Idaho Potato, from any of Idaho’s cities.
This event is a chance to be part of the Potato industry which means so very much to so many people, not only in Idaho and not only in the U.S. but all over the world. I mean, who on earth doesn't enjoy a beautifully roasted spud?! So have fun, Haul them Spuds, and see you on the road!
Rules:
Using External Contracts or External Market, with a World of Trucks-connected profile in American Truck Simulator, the community goal is to achieve 200,000 deliveries of either Potatoes cargo or the event-specific, The Big Idaho Potato cargo, from any city in Idaho.
When a player completes 6 deliveries of Potatoes cargo and 1 delivery of the event-specific The Big Idaho Potato cargo, from any city in Idaho, it will complete their personal goal.
Note:
- The Big Idaho Potato cargo is only available from External Contracts.
- Potatoes cargo is available from External Contracts or External Market.
All jobs for the event need to be 100 miles each (161 km) or more.
You can check if your recent deliveries met these conditions using your Log Book in your World of Trucks profile.
Rewards:
- Personal goal: Individual player contributions of 6 deliveries of Potatoes cargo and 1 delivery of The Big Idaho Potato cargo, from any Idaho city, will gain that player a personal World of Trucks Achievement, and 2 Steam inventory items for their cabin. A yummy Wooden Bowl of fresh crisp potato chips, and an attractive, Idaho unique, Giant Salamander Sticker.
- Community goal: When the community goal of achieving 200,000 deliveries of either Potatoes cargo or The Big Idaho Potato cargo, from any city in Idaho is met, and if the player has also achieved their personal goal then they will receive 2 Steam inventory items for their cabin. A specially designed Idaho Nights Air Freshener, and a cute Idaho Potato Sticker.
Note: In order to qualify for the community rewards, you must complete at least your personal goal in American Truck Simulator. Each reward will be a Steam inventory item for American Truck Simulator. Once completed, claim your reward in the Events page on your World of Trucks profile.
The event will be concluded on Sunday the 15th of August at 23:59 UTC.

We'd like to thank all those who took part in the 1.41 Open Beta, made bug reports, and provided general feedback on this new version. We hope you can now begin to fully enjoy the various new features which are included within this update.
So, what can you find in the 1.41 update for ETS2? Let's take a closer look!
Convoy Multiplayer
Convoy is a new multiplayer game mode, where players can set up and host their own private sessions (password optional) to drive with their friends or other fellow truckers. There is currently support for synchronized AI traffic, time and weather, and the ability to take the same job as other players.
Convoy allows you to create and host an online session with up to 8 players. We plan to eventually raise the player limit in the future, however, we are keeping it small at this time due to its work-in-progress nature. Session hosts will automatically be made admins of these sessions, allowing them to ultimately control what kind of environment they want to have online, as well as having the ability to kick any trouble-makers from the session.
You can also see, filter, browse and eventually join any of the available sessions that have already been created by your friends or other truckers.
So what options and features will players be able to use and experience in Convoy?
- Any player can host and create their own private sessions for up to 8 people
- Ability to haul the same contracts/jobs together from the same company and to the same destination
- Synchronized AI traffic (random events included)
- Synchronized time and weather
- Synchronized paint jobs, truck accessories, cabin accessories, cargoes and more
- Ability to communicate with other drivers via CB radio broadcast (X key), quick replies (Q key), or text chat (Y key)

A24 Iberia DLC Addition
Today, we are happy to bring a new piece of the road network to the latest map expansion for ETS2. This update to Iberia includes the Autoestrada A24 which runs north to south across the Douro river valley, connecting A7 and A25. It passes through a very scenic region of Portugal, famous for its many vineyards.
Originally, this road was considered for release with Iberia DLC, but we did not manage to complete it in time. We decided to finish A24 anyway and bring it to you in an update, as we did not want to leave this beautiful part of Portugal behind!
Our teams are listening to feedback and making changes accordingly for upcoming updates and beyond. We look forward to bringing you similar development news in the near future, be sure to keep your suggestions and feedback coming as it really helps motivate us to improve our content.
Photo Mode: Time & Weather options
We know how much our players love to take photos in-game and spend a lot of time creating that perfect shot, and for many, this also includes finding the right lighting conditions and weather. So to help create that perfect trucking memory, we have implemented a new feature that may save you quite a bit of time when it comes to using console commands!
Introducing the new Time and Weather options! Players will now be able to choose the conditions of their liking, to create the perfect trucking snap just by simply adjusting a new slider to change the time, or clicking on two buttons to control the lighting/weather, all of which will appear in the updated in-game photo studio. We can't wait to see how drivers will use this new feature in the future and we look forward to seeing your snaps!

Worried about your profile progress? In case of trouble-makers or other circumstances out of your control, players will have the option to revert their savefile to one made previously before joining the session. From friends to VTC's, we are excited to see how you will enjoy Convoy and we look forward to hearing your constructive feedback on this new online feature.
California Reskin
During our special Christmas 2020 live stream, we announced that we would be revisiting California in American Truck Simulator to give our starting state a reskin! Today, we bring the first iteration of this reskin, carrying a major road layout rework, agriculture stations, and more!
One of the most noticeable changes drivers will experience when arriving in California are the new agriculture border control stations! All drivers hauling goods into the state will have to undergo special checks from the control station where vehicles are inspected for commodities that may be infested with invasive species, and for the correct documentation. In-game, we will mimic these scenarios with a new feature, which will work very similarly to the current weigh stations. Upon your arrival at the border, depending on what you are hauling, drivers will be notified to pull over for an inspection at one of the control stations before they are given the green light to enter the state.
Our world design tools have been considerably improved during the years since ATS was released as well, and we plan to take advantage of the new power. For example, our map designers can now pay attention to details like the proper roll of the road surface in a curve. We are also trying to make sure we get our research right when it comes to unique road signage elements, proper road markings, or the use of cat's eyes. We hope to achieve a completely new look and feel when driving across the State. Read more here.

Since April, drivers across the world have been taking part in the #CruisingIberia World of Trucks event. This special event was to celebrate the release of the Iberia DLC in Euro Truck Simulator 2, where drivers had the opportunity to earn rewards by completing personal and community goals whilst discovering cities across this giant Peninsula.
In just over a week, you smashed the community goal of 250,000,000km! Wow! We couldn't believe how fast the goal was met; it just goes to show the amazing power of our #BestCommunityEver. Whilst the community goal was completed, there were still many truckers who did not have the time to complete their personal goal to deliver cargo to or from 20 cities in Iberia. So we decided to extend the event, just to make sure everyone got a chance to gain their rewards.
However, with new events on the horizon, #CruisingIberia must, unfortunately, come to end, but let us take a moment to take a look at some of the stats that you achieved whilst exploring our newest addition to ETS2!Incredible work truckers! We cannot thank you enough for your support during the release of Iberia. It really does bring a lot of joy to our team to see how much you enjoy participating in these events. We hope you ride with pride with your newly acquired Iberian-themed paint jobs & cabin accessories which you have earned.
Iberia wasn't the only place where our community made themselves known! You also took to our Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram pages with the hashtag #CruisingIberia and shared photos and videos of your journeys across Iberia. We absolutely loved seeing all of your reactions to the many unique locations, landmarks, and industries this part of the world has to offer.We cannot wait to get trucking again with you soon in a future World of Trucks event, which may be arriving sooner than you think.

An interesting couple of weeks full of testing is behind us and we have been making great improvements largely thanks to your feedback, our #BestCommunityEver. The time to switch gears and drive forward into the future is almost here and we believe now is the right time for another teaser!
In case you have missed our coverage of experimental and open betas and want to learn more about our upcoming Convoy gameplay mode, you can read more about it in the 1.41 Update Open Beta blog articles (ETS2, ATS). We have received some interesting images today, in which you can see that a CCTV camera located at an unspecified place, that seems to be a farm, has captured a really cool-looking trailer and truck. The search for further information is still ongoing, so for now all we can do is wait for more details to be released.

In April, we teamed up with Renault Trucks and Thrustmaster to introduce the new Renault Trucks T Evolution truck through Euro Truck Simulator 2. With it, we also launched the #RenaultTrucksEvolution Design Contest to give you the exciting opportunity to create a paint job design for the newly-released vehicle. In this competition, for the first time in the history of the synergy between virtual truckers and the real automotive industry, the ultimate winner would see their design featured in-game and on a REAL truck!
During the contest, we received hundreds of unique design entries from around the world. To everyone who entered, we cannot thank you enough, we loved seeing all your original and creative liveries! However, the team over at Renault Trucks had to make the tough decision to choose just 5 finalists to progress to the final round.
And this is where we left the decision in your hands, our #BestCommunityEver! We asked you to vote for your favorite design, which would ultimately appear in Euro Truck Simulator 2 as a paint job and on an actual Renault Trucks T High!

A HUGE congratulations to Bolat Enes who is our Ultimate Renault Trucks Evolution Winner! Your design has been chosen by the community to be featured in-game on a virtual Renault Truck T Evolution as well as on a real production truck which the team at Renault Trucks have sent us some amazing photos of!
As of now, this design (slightly adjusted by the Renault Trucks' team of designers) is now available as part of a free update for all owners of Euro Truck Simulator 2 on Steam, so make sure you take a moment to check it out for yourselves. We think it looks great! Renault Trucks' team also managed to do a very nice interview with Bolat Enes about his design and other topics. Make sure to watch it in the video below.

You may have noticed a certain pattern evolving when we are talking about the upcoming Wyoming expansion. Every once in a while there is a mention of the Interstate 80 (or simply I-80) and there is a proper reason for that. Today we will describe to you the importance of this transcontinental freeway and show you which cities you will be able to visit on your journey along this historic road.
I-80 is the second-longest Interstate highway in the United States and it runs from downtown San Francisco all the way to the New York City Metropolitan Area. Not only that, the I-80 has existed since 1956, and its route resembles the historic Lincoln Highway, which was the first road across the United States. More importantly, what makes Wyoming so significant in the I-80’s 2,899.59 mi (4,666.44 km) distance journey, is the fact that the road reaches its maximum elevation of 8,640 feet (2,630 m) above sea level at Sherman Summit.
Since we are already in the area of the Laramie Mountains, we might as well mention one of the cities that you will be able to visit in the new map expansion. Laramie is situated on the high plains in southeastern Wyoming and its population makes it the third-largest city in the state. The rich history is apparent at every corner and the feeling of a growing local culture is inescapable.
Moving a bit to the west, the city of Rawlins has definitely progressed from being just a place for a short drink for General John A. Rawlins, who proclaimed the local water as the most refreshing drink he ever had. After this, the area was named Rawlins Springs and the name was eventually shortened to what we are calling it today.
Speaking of springs, apart from historical importance, Rock Springs is the most industrialized county in Wyoming, with over half of the workforce being employed by industry, mining, power generation and related services. The city’s rich cultural heritage is underlined mainly by the architecture of the City Hall, which you will be able to see as well.And finally, Evanston is the last city we’re going to mention today. This town was founded during the construction of the First Transcontinental Railroad in 1868 and back then, a saloon/restaurant was built in a tent near what is now Front Street. The area was an important trading location for over a hundred years, with massive growth arriving during an oil boom in the 1980s.
Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten the capital city of Wyoming - Cheyenne. It will be a part of a special future blog instead!
